The Hua Shan Mountain is 120 km from the famous city of Xi’an, in China , and is one of the five sacred mountains of Taoism . The others are the Tai Shan, the Nan Heng Shan, the Hen Bei Shan and Song Shan. You need to pay to get into it, about 10 €, and walk a few hours to reach the top.

I spent ten days in the city of Xi’an as I was extending my visa for China and that took a week. After seeing quite escape the city decided to climb the mountain of Hua Shan (2154 m.). After about 2-3 hours by bus to the city of Huayin (you can also go by train from Xi’an), I came to the entrance of Mt. They quickly met a group of three Chinese friends would also raise and I joined them. One of them has come to Bangkok recently :)

The roller pairs are filled locks interconnected. Symbolize the union of those who have.

It was about 15h and my idea was to raise and lower the same day but I saw that this would be possible. At first, the road is quiet, normal, but after a while begins to rise in an exaggerated way. You are stairs carved into the stone of the mountain itself with a penchant brutal. At least you have to grab chains.

Being late and to get dark around 18pm and saw I had to spend the night there and go down the next morning. And really, that was what they had planned my new teammates and about 300 or 400 Chinese who would reckon the whole mountain.

subiendo-la-hua-shan con jaqueta del partido comunista Many Chinese go up at night to near the top, which is expected to leave the sun, finish up and see the sunrise from the top. And we did. Although we spent a cold night in hell, almost to the peak of the mountain, waiting for the dawn. We were not prepared for the cold so we had to rent a jaquetas style communist party who rented there.

At the end was great, watched the sunrise with other 400 people, mostly young, and when the sun was beginning to heat up again, went down. It took about 5 or 6 hours to get down. As the mountain is famous in China, going down to find hundreds and hundreds of people, older people, rising. Even the police were distributing Trafficking!

You climb extremely steep stairs with very small steps, with side chains where grab. A tranches, one passes through very narrow roads with cliffs rather beasts as you can see in the pictures (by the middle I had to go.) In the video attached to the end of the post you can see how it follows the path of the image below 😉 It’s worth! The way you will see in the video was optional and forced you to rent a safety harness.

And, finally, we could enjoy the sunrise from the top of Hua Shan :)
